Hui Wang (王慧)

Postdoctoral Research Fellow of Prof. Helmut Pottmann’s Computational Design and Fabrication (CDF) Research group in Visual Computing Center (VCC) in KAUST. Previously, I was a visiting PhD student of his Applied Geometry group in TU Wien for two years. I got my PhD in 2020 from Dalian University of Technology (DUT), where my supervisor was Prof. Chungang Zhu in Computational Geometry group. My current research interests include architectural geometry, discrete differential geometry, geometry processing and optimization, and computational design, and CAD. Please check my CV here.

Jul, 2023 | Our paper Discrete Orthogonal Structures was presented in the Shape Modeling International (SMI 2023) conference in Genova, Italy and won the Best Paper (Honourable Mention). |
Apr, 2023 | Our paper Asymptotic Geodesic Hybrid Timber Gridshell has been accepted by the Advances in Architectural Geometry (AAG 2023) conference, which will take place from Oct. 4th to 7th in Stuttgart, Germany. |
